Troubleshoot wireless 8bitdo snes controllers

There may come a time that your Bluetooth 8bitdo controller may no longer sync to your console, normally due to holding down the start button too long. Never fear here is a step by step to re sync up your controller.

What you will need:

*USB keyboard to plug into your console.

1) Plug in your USB keyboard and make sure your controller/s are off with no light activity.

2) Turn on your console and let it load up.

3) Now navigate to the menu to Retropie and press A on your keyboard, and then select Bluetooth, second option.

4) Once in this menu grab your controller and press and hold the start button until both lights show up and then release. You will now have a slow blinking blue light. Press enter on your keyboard and it will start to search for your Bluetooth controller.

(It may help to press a few buttons on your controller while it searches for it)

5) Once its finished searching you should see some random numbers pop up on the screen, this will be your controllers mac address.

you might find you may have to search a couple of times to find it.

6) Now press enter on the keyboard to select the controllers mac address.

you will now get another menu where you will select the top option (display yesno)

7) Press enter. Now your should see a connected successfully message.

If its not successful the first time just retry again.

8) Repeat process if you would like to add another controller or simply cancel back to main menu again.
